Curriculum Vitae

I am the Founder of Corley & Kelsey Rehab Svc (DBA Sports Center Physical Therapy) and The Kelsey Group, Inc. I have a Bachelor of Science from the State University of Buffalo at New York and a Doctor of Philosophy in Allied Health from Pacific Western University.

I am a published author in scientific journals, have written chapters for physical therapy books, currently manage my blog at DougKelsey.com. I have published seven books:

I’m also the inventor of the world’s first anti-gravity exercise device and received a patent for it in 1993 and another anti-gravity exercise device with a patent in 2001.

1996 – 2010 Founder and President Paradigm Health Systems International, Inc. Paradigm produced and sold the Newton Speed Trainer, my second patent on anti-gravity technology.

2010 – 2023 Founder, The Kelsey Group, Inc. The Kelsey Group, Inc. is a health and fitness educational company created to help people get fit, and stay healthy as they age.

Nov 1983 – Oct 2013 Founder Sports Center. Sports Center is a physical therapy practice devoted to helping people win back their active lifestyle. We deal only with orthopedic and sports injuries in people ages ten and over.

Aug 1996 – May 1999 Associate Professor and Assistant Dean for Clinical Affairs, University of Oklahoma Health Sciences Center, Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. I taught in both the undergraduate and graduate degree programs in the Department of Physical Therapy.

1987 – 1996 Founder and President SOMA, Inc. SOMA produced the ZUNI Incremental Weight Bearing System, my first patent in anti-gravity technology and served as the organizer for most of the seminars I taught in the late 80’s and into the mid-90’s.

1986 – 1992 Instructor, Texas State University.  I taught Functional Anatomy, Orthopedics, and Spinal Mobilization within the Department of Physical Therapy.
